Part of the Juz' 30 series! brief intro summary: This Makkan surah[ revealed before the hijra(migration) of Prophet Muhammad(saw)] stresses the fact that people will be accountable on Judgement Day for their ingratitude to their Lord. A one-liner theme of this surah gives an example that horses are more grateful to their owners than humans are to their Rabb (Allah). Also, this is a continuation of my recitation journey, which I left off 4 years ago...

This is one of my favourite surah(chapter) from juz'30 series, part of my recitation journey! The 94th chapter of the Glorious Quran, this surah reminds the Prophet Muhammad(saw) reassures him of Allah's continued support in the city of Makkah.The surah also repeats the phrase "surely with hardship comes ease," setting a precedent that appears throughout the Quran that any single difficulty faced by believers would be rewarded twice over (or more).

The 93rd chapter of the Glorious Quran, surah Duha is one of the Meccan Suras according to some narrations, was revealed after a brief interval that happened in revelation, and the Prophet (S) was anxiously awaiting its arrival because the enemies had become obnoxious and began to gossip. Then, the verses descended on him, like refreshing rain and gave him a new strength, which ceased his enemies taunts. This Surah begins with two oaths and then informs the holy Prophet (S) of the good news that Allah has never forsaken him nor left him alone. It adds that, soon, Allah will provide for him so abundantly that he will become content. And in the last verses of the Surah the Prophet (S) is reminded of his past life to illustrate how Allah always bestowed His loving care on him and in the most difficult moments has supported him in the past and so his future was sure. That is why in the end it is mentioned to be kind with the orphans and the needy. -Part of my recitation series so hope everyone watches and benefits :)

The person who recites this ayah morning and evening will be under protection of Allah [12] from the evil of the jinns; this is also known as the daily adkhar. Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) deputed me to keep Sadaqat (al-Fitr) of Ramadan. A comer came and started taking handfuls of the foodstuff (of the Sadaqa) (stealthily). I took hold of him and said, "By Allah, I will take you to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ." He said, "I am needy and have many dependents, and I am in great need." I released him, and in the morning Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked me, "What did your prisoner do yesterday?" I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! The person complained of being needy and of having many dependents, so, I pitied him and let him go." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Indeed, he told you a lie and he will be coming again." I believed that he would show up again as Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had told me that he would return. So, I waited for him watchfully. When he (showed up and) started stealing handfuls of foodstuff, I caught hold of him again and said, "I will definitely take you to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). He said, "Leave me, for I am very needy and have many dependents. I promise I will not come back again." I pitied him and let him go. In the morning Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked me, "What did your prisoner do." I replied, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! He complained of his great need and of too many dependents, so I took pity on him and set him free." Allah's Apostle said, "Verily, he told you a lie and he will return." I waited for him attentively for the third time, and when he (came and) started stealing handfuls of the foodstuff, I caught hold of him and said, "I will surely take you to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as it is the third time you promise not to return, yet you break your promise and come." He said, "(Forgive me and) I will teach you some words with which Allah will benefit you." I asked, "What are they?" He replied, "Whenever you go to bed, recite "Ayat-al-Kursi"-- 'Allahu la ilaha illa huwa-l-Haiy-ul Qaiyum' till you finish the whole verse. (If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you and no satan will come near you till morning. " So, I released him. In the morning, Allah's Apostle asked, "What did your prisoner do yesterday?" I replied, "He claimed that he would teach me some words by which Allah will benefit me, so I let him go." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked, "What are they?" I replied, "He said to me, 'Whenever you go to bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi from the beginning to the end ---- Allahu la ilaha illa huwa-lHaiy-ul-Qaiyum----.' He further said to me, '(If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you, and no satan will come near you till morning.' (Abu Huraira or another sub-narrator) added that they (the companions) were very keen to do good deeds. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He really spoke the truth, although he is an absolute liar. Do you know whom you were talking to, these three nights, O Abu Huraira?" Abu Huraira said, "No." He said, "It was Satan." - Sahih al-Bukhari 2311 #surahalbaqarah #Baqarah #qurantilawat #ayatulkursi

Surah Shams, chapter 91 of the Glorious Quran - is, in fact, a Surah on the purification of the 'carnal soul' and sanctification of the heart from vice and impurities', explains the same themes as in previous Suras, but at the beginning of the Surah eleven great subjects from the world of creation and Divine essence are mentioned and to prove that salvation depends upon 'purification of the carnal soul' some oaths are made. These oaths envelop most of the Qur'anic oaths collectively. At the end of the Surah, the Thamood, as an example of a disobedient people, are briefly pointed out. They defied Allah's sacred Law and His prophet, Salih (as), and were destroyed for their crime; which was the fruit of neglecting 'the purification of the carnal soul’. This short Surah, in fact, restates one of the most important instructive points for the destiny of Man's life and leads him to true Islamic values.

The 97th chapter as understood from the name of the Surah refers to the revelation of the Glorious Qur'an on the Night of Honour during Ramadan and then, it describes the importance of the night and the Blessings thereon. Among the commentators, it is known as a Meccan Surah, although some hold that it was revealed in Medina; as a narration denotes that the Prophet (S) dreamed that the Ommayides were climbing his pulpit. The Virtue of Studying this Surah: On the virtue of studying this Surah, there is a narration from the Prophet Muhammad (S) which says: "He who recites it (Surah Qadr) will be rewarded like the one who has fasted the whole month of Ramadan and has kept vigil the night of Qadr, (the Night of Honour).” [Majma’-al-Bayan, 10/516] Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) and others have said, “Allah sent the Qur’an down all at one time from the Preserved Tablet (Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz) to the House of Might (Baytul-`Izzah), which is in the heaven of this world. Then it came down in parts to the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) based upon the incidents that occurred over a period of twenty-three years.” Then Allah magnified the status of the Night of Al-Qadr, which He chose for the revelation of the Mighty Qur’an. (Tafsir Ibn Kathir) One of the most important reasons for revealing Surah Al Qadr was to explain to the Muslims the importance of reading and understanding the significance of the Quran.
